I've worked on around 6 events for Lockheed Martin and found them really rewarding. Particularly the events dedicated to inspiring children to be interested in STEM fields. My very first Lockheed Martin project was part of the
Mars Experience, a school bus featuring group virtual reality through the use of the bus' windows to simulate riding around the surface of Mars. While I didn't produce the VR elements, each kid walked away from it with a live-printed custom sticker and an awesome UV/Embossed “Mission Brief” with exciting facts about space technology currently in use and a spot to place their newly acquired sticker. From there, things got more traditional but BIG. With multiple USASEF even spaces, RIAT event spaces, Skunkworks Classroom Takeover and a Communication Summit.
Each of these events featured multiple stations and the RIAT and USASEF events in particular required creative solutions to turn these spaces into interactive ones for the kids that came through. I put together the files for the Career Course, Career Predictor, Quiz Game, Mission Patch Stickers, Robo Labs and interactive Education Boards for the C-130J Load Puzzle, Race To Space Quiz and Insight Lander Mission. Each of these stations had some sort of interactive component that the kids could use or play with, from a puzzle game to an air turbine simulation tunnel where a kid could alter the angle of a plane's wing and see how that affected the flow of air in the tunnel. Over 350,000 people passes through just the 2018 USASEF event space and the amazing team listed here was responsible for it and all other events I worked on for this client.
